The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer.
On 29th September Plus was proud to join 1000s of others all over the UK who hosted Coffee Mornings to raise money for Macmillan.
We took some time out from fitout finance to enjoy a cup of coffee and some fabulous cakes - some of which were even our in our corporate colours!
The morning raised over £70 which will help Macmillan provide medical, emotional, practical and financial support, as well as campaigning for better cancer care.
The ceremony was held at Old Billingsgate, London and 1,100 members of the interior design community gathered to celebrate the best in the industry.
Pre-dinner drinks were held outside the venue overlooking the River Thames with a magnificent view of London Bridge on a beautiful summers evening. It was a great opportunity to enjoy the company of fellow professionals and to network with partners, old and new.
After a splendid meal, the awards ceremony started, these were hosted by Mick Jordan of Mix Interiors.

We were delighted to be sponsoring the Grafters Awards this year.
Grafters is solely dedicated to networking & celebrating the North West Construction Industry, bringing all trades together for an event held at The Manchester Mecure Hotel last week.
Plus Finance sponsored and a number of different awards including best commercial fitout company, interior design and designer and they were presented by Heather Baker, our Business Development Manager.
The event also raised money for Kidscan, the Children’s Cancer Research charity.
Some of the Plus Finance team spent a fantastic afternoon at Clerkenwell Design Week on Wednesday.
The sun was scorching outside but we spent a wonderful few hours inside the air conditioned Craft Beer Bar at Smiths of Smithfield. From 12pm until about 8pm we were joined by our colleagues from the fitout and furniture industry and enjoyed trying the different beers on offer plus a few bottles of fizz.
It was great to spend some quality time away from the hustle and bustle of the showrooms and catch up with people over a drink or two.
We are looking forward to the launch of the FIS Guide to Office Fit-Out and Refurbishment, tonight at the Interface Showroom, 1 Northburgh Street, London.
For many clients, creating an office fit-out that suits their business needs, their customers and staff – and having it happen on time, to specification and to budget – can seem daunting. Which is why FIS has created this guide to office fit-out and refurbishment not only to assist them with this process but to promote the outstanding work FIS members do and best practice in office fit-out. Our director Nicki Matthews was pleased to be a contributor to the Guide for the section on finance.
We are pleased to be sponsoring
MIXOLOGY’s Manufacturer of the Year.
you haven’t already entered the deadline is just around the corner with only
4 days to go.
Hope you have time to enter and look forward to seeing you there on the 22nd June.
Even though there is no-one at Plus Finance from Irish Ancestry we thought we’d celebrate St Patricks Day anyway!
If any of our clients or partners are Irish hopefully they will appreciate our attempt at celebrating the life of the patron saint of Ireland who spent 30 years establishing schools, churches, and monasteries across Ireland in the mid fifth century.
It made a change to speak to our customers about their fitout projects with a Irish wig or Leprechaun hat on! We did stop short at drinking Guiness or Irish Whiskey during the day though.
As part of Fairtrade Fortnight Plus Finance held a Traidcraft Big Brew to raise money for the many people in Africa living in poverty. Over 70% of people living in poverty in Africa live in rural areas and depend on agriculture for food and income. But many struggle to make a living, or afford basic things we take for granted.
We drank Fairtrade coffee and tea and enjoyed cakes and biscuits made with rich Fairtade cocoa, sugar and Traidcraft’s pioneering organic fair trade palm oil, FairPalm, produced by smallholders in Ghana.
Christine and Laura took a break from sorting out finance deals for their client’s fitout project to make sure we raised lots of money which will help people to boost their skills, work together with their peers and dramatically increase their incomes. Lifting people out of poverty in this way enables them to feed their families, keep their children in school, and get healthcare when they’re ill.
Following a year off whilst we celebrated our 15th Birthday last year, we are delighted to report that 2017 again sees Plus Finance as a sponsor for Mixology.
This fantastic event for the interior design community takes place at Old Billingsgate on 22nd June and Plus will join the other sponsors including Orangebox, Interface, Gresham and Connection for a wonderful evening.
This year we are sponsoring the Furniture Product of the Year and we look forward to hearing the nominations in the coming weeks and months.
As the UK’s only specialist finance company in the fitout world we are immensely proud to be involved with such a great event.
Entries open this month so good luck to all those putting products forward.
As 2016 draws to a close we would like to wish all our clients and partners a very Happy Christmas.
This year has not only seen us celebrate our 15th Birthday but has been our best year ever with a 50% increase in business from last year. To celebrate the team enjoyed a great Christmas Party at the Crazy Bear and we presented our Employee of the Year award to Claire Gutteridge, Super Salesperson of the Year award to Laura Lee and a Special Award to Aniko Gal.
We feel very proud to be part of such an amazing industry and look forward to what the New Year will bring.
It’s finally that time of the year, and Christmas is almost upon us. Here at Plus Finance Limited we have embraced the spirit of Christmas to show our support for the Hospice of St. Francis.
We all wore our festive sweaters, our tree is decorated, and all contributions benefit the charity which provides free, expert care for people living with life-limiting illnesses in West Hertfordshire and South Buckinghamshire, who rely on support from the local community.
We are very proud to have been able to help their cause and make a difference.
